If I use apricot scrub before I shave, my skin stays peachy smooth for two days. By the third day, I can start to feel the raspiness of hair coming through in some places, like my jaw line and where a goatee beard would grow.
Generally, my skin feels lovely, and I don't need concealer, just foundation.
It's expensive, but so far I'm convinced it's worth it. Plus, if I ever do transition, I'm sorted! :D
nearly went pear shaped with appointment time but managed it
Debbie is right it is very much like an elastic band hitting your face apart from the chin and lips where it is painful manly due i think to the shear number of little play roots being set on fire at the same time
The worst bit seems to have been not knowing what was going on as you have your eyes covered and closed to avoid the light
Face is feeling fine this morning but unfortunately going to have to cancel planned trip out tonight as not a good idea to plaster makeup on just yet
I'm booked in for next one in a months time when i'm going to get a patch test done for my legs as well (have had to wait a bit because of the epilating)
I did notice that having a very attractive young lady smearing cold gel on my face was something not to be concentrated on and have my concerns when it comes to legs but what the hell
I've had two goes on my facial hair with an Alexandrite laser. It didn't hurt near as much as I expected the first time. There was temporary redness that went away in about an hour. Second time (3 weeks later) hurt more and I still looked like a tomato 3 hours later. Third time will be after 4 weeks then every 6 weeks till I've had enough. $A70 a session. The dark hairs have already gone and the rest are growing slower. Beard shadow after shaving is almost vanished. Legs and arms were a breeze but chest hurt heaps. I only had one session on those bits.
