Seriously considering buying an IPL but so expensive and I don't know or heard how efective it really is?

Epilation for me, the little buzzing malevolent hair uprooters that they are :D. I managed to de-hair both my legs quite quickly, just need to get used to the little pinches and it's plain sailing. But, I do occasionally get ingrown hairs, causes unsightly red bumps after also. I haven't tried it right after a bath, but I'd imagine it's a little easier with the heat? And I guess if I doused my legs in some kind of anti bacterial product I'd hopefully get less bumps. Well, that's an experiement for another day.

Also, horror stories? Keep away from loose skin, for obvious reasons. Or any kind of fabric, I'm pretty sure I ruined my hosiery gloves by getting too close - oh well. I've had some painful run ins when not paying enough attention  I have to demote the epilator in favour of tweezers for those certain places...

I always imagined them to be painful so I just shaved and waxed. I might have to get one now.

For me it's a combination of epilation and shaving those extremely sensitive areas!
Just a misstress of the dark wanting to have fun!

Hi Girls,

I bought a battery epilator recently. It turned out to be a big mistake. Not too bad on the arms but when trying it on the pubes my scrotal sac caught under the plastic hood and left me bleeding. Nasty!

Waxing, strips and tweezing from now on.

When I was 14 I tried trimming my eyebrows and ended up shaving them off completely cos I made such a mess of it, I looked ridiculous with no eyebrows yet the really funny thing is the amount of people who knew something was different but couldn't work out what it was lol
