Backless dresses

Postby Summer » Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:58 am

I have a halter neck dress which is lovely, but If I'm to be busty, then what sort of bra would be best?

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Additionally it's really nice to not have a hairy back so I can do this.

In my head I look good, but then reality buts in . . . . . . .

Hi Summer,

There are a few halter specific bras out there but the tend to be wide lacey straps. What you need is a convertible bra to get the proper support. They are made with removable and adjustable straps and one configuration is usually halter style, you just connect one cup to the other (around your neck of course) instead of connecting them in the back separately. The can be worn strapless with a halter top but for our purposes that just does not work :dopey: . Just be sure to look at the details and make sure it says one of the ways it can be adjusted is halter style.

Hope that helps,
Kathy

I have a couple of bodyshaper bodices that have detachable straps, & the fasteners are very low down at the back. These seem to work with a couple of low back dresses I have. They came from Debenhams. I'll post a picture when I get a moment.
I only smile if I have a reason...
